I'm Dawn, a Florida native who followed her passion for hair to Flourtown Pennsylvania, where I've made it my mission to create a salon experience that's as unique as you are. Opening Grassroots at the height of the pandemic in 2020 was a challenge, but it's been an amazing journey. Four years in, and I've never felt more capable. I've curated a welcoming atmosphere where clients can unwind with a soothing shampoo, enjoy snacks and drinks, and even cozy up with a blanket in my massage chair!

With over 16 years of experience in the industry, I've designed my salon suite experience to ensure you feel prepared, confident, and cared for. Clients often tell me that my passion for what I do shows, I take pride in specializing in low maintenance, dimensional hair color and cuts as well as guiding those who are on a holistic hair journey to discover what will work best for them. Some may call me a nerd, but I love to learn about the science behind hair, especially as it pertains to hair restoration. I'd be happy to share my knowledge of it with you!

I'm constantly expanding my skills and certifications, Recently, I was certified as a Jet Plasma technician for hair loss and various skin concerns, Additionally, I'm Also a member of the National Spray Tan Professional Association, so you better believe I've got the know-how to give you a great airbrush tan!,Also, I'm certified in ethical extensions (yes, that's a thing!) with Hairdreams. It brings me joy to be a member of the Green Beauty Community and I keep my salon waste out of the landfill with the help of Green Life Organization.

Understanding the challenges of stepping into a new salon, I consider the mental and emotional factors that come with hair changes. Having dealt with hair loss myself, I understand the frustration that comes along with it. My space is safe and judgment-free, I will not only respect your wishes but also guide you towards a sustainable home care and revisit plan.

Outside of the salon, I'm a proud mom and wife who enjoys nothing more than a night out with friends or a cozy night in with a good documentary. I'm also a music enthusiast with a particular love for jazz and finding new genres (tropical saxophone house music anyone?!)
